This is a great gift for someone you know who wants to develop their prowess in the kitchen. At Fairyhouse Food & Wine School, under the guidance of owner / instructor, Billie O'Shea you will learn everything from how to sharpen knives to preparing delicious, hearty dishes using Billie's recipe for success: local, seasonal, simple, fresh and where available organic ingredients. It's hard to stick slavishly to the idea of 'local' and 'seasonal' but it forms the back bone of what Fairyhouse Food & Wine School is all about.
Billie's philosophy is to teach simple cooking techniques to create a wonderful meal to share with family and friends. Having acquired her initial culinary passion in early life from her mother, Billie later developed her skills through experimentation and professional training in Ballymaloe, Alix Gardner, Ghan House, the National Bakery School and numerous courses in Switzerland, Italy and South America. She has also completed the 'Advanced Certificate' at the Wine Development Board.
